Vikasa began when we noticed a growing digital gap in the communities we served. While urban areas had access to computers and digital education, many rural regions were left behind. As we interacted with children and families in these areas, it became clear that a lack of access to technology was limiting opportunities for education and future employment. Recognizing the urgent need for digital literacy, we launched Vikasa to bridge this gap and bring computer education to both urban and, soon, rural areas.
Vikasa is our initiative focused on bridging the digital divide by providing computer education to underserved communities in both urban and rural areas. Through our dedicated training labs, we empower individuals with essential digital skills, enhancing their employability and helping them thrive in the modern workforce.
In our current phase, Vikasa operates in urban centers, offering free computer training programs to students, youth, and adults alike. As we expand, we are bringing these essential programs to rural communities, where access to technology and digital education is often limited.
Our proposed plan aims to establish more training labs in these rural areas, ensuring that even those in remote regions can benefit from technology-driven education. With a focus on practical, hands-on learning, Vikasa helps participants develop foundational computer skills and digital literacy, setting them up for future success.
Through Vikasa, we are building a more digitally inclusive society, where every individual has the opportunity to gain the skills needed to navigate and succeed in today’s tech-driven world.
