Sri JanaJagarana Trust came into existence when a group of dedicated individuals from Mysuru noticed the struggles faced by underprivileged children and marginalized communities. Their shared vision of creating a better future through education, healthcare, and empowerment inspired the foundation of the trust. They aimed to provide the much-needed support for those overlooked by society, ensuring that every child and family had access to the opportunities they deserved.

Our journey began in 1978, driven by a deep awareness of the community’s critical needs. Fueled by a commitment to create meaningful change, we have evolved over the decades from a modest initiative into a beacon of hope. Today, Sri JanaJagarana Trust is dedicated to transforming lives and empowering individuals through education and support.

Sri JanaJagarana Trust is making a profound impact on the lives of around 3,000 underprivileged children each day through its 96 existing Kalika Kendras (Free Learning Centers – FLCs). These centers are established across the districts of Mysuru, Mandya, and Chamarajanagar, With the dedication of 125 local teachers and mentors, these Kalika Kendras provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children, helping them to excel academically and grow comprehensively.

Looking ahead, Sri JanaJagarana Trust has an ambitious plan to expand its reach by establishing 250 more Kalika Kendras within the next year. As part of this expansion, the Trust plans to bring in 500 additional teachers to meet the educational needs of even more children across these districts.

Eventually we plan to establish Kalika Kendra’s in every districts of Karnataka.

To ensure the teachers are equipped to deliver high-quality education, the Trust offers a structured Teacher Training Program aimed at improving teaching techniques, enhancing curriculum delivery, and fostering stronger interpersonal relationships with students. This ongoing program empowers teachers to adapt to evolving educational needs, guiding students through academic challenges while instilling values, ethics, and life skills. By focusing on both academic and personal development, Sri JanaJagarana Trust’s Kalika Kendras is helping children not only succeed in their studies but also grow into responsible, well-rounded individuals.
